Microsoft has recently introduced new icons which brings a modern look to its operating system. The new icons are fully available on its latest operating system, that is the Windows 10x while also available to users who have signed up for its insider program and running the windows preview build 21343. 

However it has been reported that there are other informal ways to get and install the icons. This will involve downloading the icon pack, installing via the folder’s customize tab (for folder icon) or going via a pro approach to installation using the windows registry which may cause irreparable alterations to the system files. 

From an image of what looks like an interface of the new icon provided by Microsoft, the conventional yellow colored folder icon is seen to have been replaced with variants of gradient colour in which the ‘desktop’ icon is now seen to be blue while that of the ‘downloads’ is green. a vast majority of the inbuilt apps have likewise gotten a new look too and this includes Windows security, Narrator, Notepad etc.

The Windows 10x was announced in 2019 by Microsoft as designed for dual screen, however it later expressed it would run on solo screen. The OS which is not an upgrade from its former OS like the Win7, 8 &10 but a complete build on its own is expected to run on devices to be released later this year.
